We understand that the independent-school application process can be daunting. You will discover that the admission process at Beacon Day School is user friendly. We pledge to assist you so that the process is stress free for both you and your child.
Admission decisions are made objectively and in the best interest of your student. A committee consisting of the Director of Education, Director of Admission, Learning Specialist and Head of School make final decisions on all applicants. The Admission committee seeks students and families who will thrive in the educational community that Beacon has to offer. Admission is open to all students, regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation and national or ethnic origin.
Beacon is a member of the East Bay Independent Schools Association (EBISA), an alliance of more than 40 local independent schools. EBISA schools represent a wide range of educational choices but are equally committed to establishing and maintaining a diverse population of students and families. EBISA member schools share a set of admission practices and calendar dates for notification to families. For more information please visit www.ebisaca.org.
